Otorhinolaryngology clinic
Main information

The office hours of the ENT clinic are five days a week, every working day.  We treat children from newborn to 19 years old and all adult patients. In children, we examine, diagnose and treat  all acute and chronic diseases of ENT  organs, congenital developmental anomalies, hearing disorders inluding tympanometric, audiometric diagnostics and examination of otoacoustic emissions. We also do newborn hearing impairment screening. We diagnose the enlarged  nasopharyngeal tonsil by fibroscopic examination. We perform a fibroscopic examination of the nose, nasopharynx, pharynx and larynx. We also perform small surgical interventions in the head and neck area, focusing on the ENT organs. In adult patients, we diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases of the ENT organs, diagnose hearing disorders audiometrically, tympanometrically and also examine otoacoustic emissions. We perform preventive examinations of ENT organs. In our outpatient clinic, we perform basic diagnostics of dizziness and balance disorders as well as therapeutic repositioning maneuvers for positional vertigo caused by changes in the balance organ of the inner ear.

  • ear pain, discharge/bleeding from the ear, feeling of pressure, ringing and popping in the ears, hearing impairment, whistling/buzzing/buzzing in the ears - tinnitus, dizziness, congenital developmental anomalies of the ear and others

  • examination of the external ear, treatment of inflammatory changes  and injuries, removal of earwax and foreign bodies from the external auditory canal, local application of medication

  • otomicroscopic examination, paracentesis and treatment for inflammations and injuries of the middle ear under microscopic control, splinting of traumatic perforation of the tympanic membrane,  intratympanic application of drugs, examination of function and polishing of the auditory tube

  • diagnosis and conservative treatment of fluid in the middle ear in children and adults

  • collection of material for microbiological and histological examination

  • diagnosis of hearing disorders in children and adults - orientation and audiometric hearing examination, tympanometric examination, examination of otoacoustic emissions

  • detailed analysis of symptoms and basic examination of the balance system in patients with dizziness

  • implementation of specific positional tests and therapeutic repositioning maneuvers for dizziness linked to a change of position

  • recommending additional electrophysiological and imaging examinations for the purpose of differential diagnosis and proper treatment of hearing disorders, dizziness and other diseases

Nose, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses

  • recommendation of additional functional and imaging, if necessary, other professional examinations

  • conservative treatment of acute and chronic inflammations in the mentioned areas

Oral part of pharynx, oral cavity and salivary glands

  • pain, swelling, difficulty swallowing or articulating, dry mouth, bleeding, bad breath, snoring and others

  • detailed examination by sight and palpation, including treatment and minor procedures as mentioned above, as necessary under microscopic control (removal of material, incision of a purulent deposit...)

  • conservative treatment of acute and chronic inflammations in the mentioned areas

  • recommendation of additional laboratory and imaging examinations
