Curriculum Vitae

MUDr. Katarína Legrand graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Bratislava in 2010.

After completing her studies, she worked for four years as a resident physician in departments of the Hospital with Polyclinic Skalica and the National Institute of Children's Diseases in Bratislava.

During her practice, she completed several professional internships abroad. In 2012, she spent four months at Centre de santé Buraniro in Burundi, where she focused on pediatric and general medical practice.

In 2014, she completed a three-month pediatric and general medical practice at Loyola Health Center in Jagir Pannur, Karnataka, India. In 2015, she completed a three-month professional internship at the Neonatology Clinic of Hôpital Antoine Béclère in Paris.

In May 2016, she successfully passed the specialization exam in pediatrics.

She subsequently worked for two and a half years in pediatric clinics in Bratislava-Trnávka, Skalica and Šaštín-Stráže. From 2022 to 2025, she worked in pediatric clinics in Bratislava, and from 2025 to 2026 at the neonatal department of Bory Hospital.

Since September 2025, she has been working as a physician at the pediatric clinic of Poliklinika MD.

She is the mother of two children and the author of the two-part book publication Pediatrics for Curious Parents. Since September 2021, within the project Vaša Okidoki, she has been involved in lectures, publishing and educational activities intended mainly for parents.
